Samsung is throwing out a few surprises this year, including releasing Galaxy S series smartphones without microSD card readers. The company has been more aggressive in its prices too, which Technik News claims will continue with the Galaxy A series.
Last week, WinFuture claimed that Samsung would pitch the Galaxy A72 at €449, which would be €20 cheaper than the Galaxy A71. Similarly, Technik News alleges that the Galaxy A52 will arrive for €349, €20 less than the Galaxy A51. The Galaxy A51 is expected to have the model number SM-A52F for reference, at least in Europe.
Technik News adds that the Galaxy A52 5G will launch for €449, matching the Galaxy A72. While it may seem strange for Samsung to price the A52 5G and A72 equally, the former is believed to have a higher refresh rate display and a more powerful processor. Specifically, the A52 5G should have a 120 Hz display and a Snapdragon 750G chipset, compared to the 90 Hz display and Snapdragon 720G in the Galaxy A72.
Technik News believes that the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G should launch in March. Additionally, the website indicates that 256 GB SKUs of both models should retail for €50 more than their 128 GB entry-level siblings.
Samsung is thought to have paired 128 GB of storage with 6 GB of RAM, too. However, it remains unclear if the €50 surcharge, which is unconfirmed at the time of writing, will cover the jump to 8 GB of RAM, or just more storage.
