90% ROG Strix SCAR 18 G835 (2026) Gaming Laptop Review
Source: CG Mag Online
A gaming powerhouse in every sense of the word, the ROG Strix SCAR 18 provides a top-tier gaming experience; however, that comes at a hefty price, which may keep it out of reach for many gamers.

INSANE Display, Mid Laptop - ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) Review
Source: Hardware Canucks
The ROG Strix SCAR 18 has always been one of the fastest gaming laptops on the planet and now it also comes with a HUGE screen upgrade. But on the performance side, the new 2026 version isn't any different. It has a 290HX Plus and RTX 5090, its evident we've reached peak gaming framerates.

Don't call it a laptop — the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 handles like a full desktop
Source: Canoe
If you’re reading this hoping the SCAR 18 might replace a gaming laptop you carry to class or take on flights, it won’t, and it isn’t trying to. This is for the person who has a permanent spot for it on a desk, wants desktop-tower performance without building or housing an actual tower, and values being able to crack it open and add memory or storage themselves down the line.

90% Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 longer-term review (2026 G835LXG model – Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, RTX 5090)
Source: Ultrabook Review
The 2026 Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 is a solid year-over-year update, especially considering it's only a refinement of the 2025 variant and not a brand new design. Performance-wise, the gains are limited between generations and mostly on the CPU side, but the updated thermal module and 4K mini LED display allow for an improved general experience across the board.

ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 — This Display Ruined Other Laptops for Me
Source: Matthew Moniz
The world's first 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED gaming laptop display with ROG Nebula ELMB, plus the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and RTX 5090. I tested gaming benchmarks, thermals, battery life, and compared it against the Lenovo Legion 9i, MacBook Pro 16 (M5 Max), and Gigabyte Aorus Master 16.
