The previously AMD-exclusive Razer Blade 16 can now be configured with Intel CPUs and the differences are quite noticeable — often for the better. However, be prepared to pay even more for all the upgrades.

The Razer Blade 16 is still the most desirable gaming laptop money can buy. Unfortunately, these days you'll need even more cash on hand if you want to walk away with a top-spec model. It's still remarkably civilised, seriously quick, and equipped with one of the best OLED panels on the market.

Few laptops look, feel and perform to the manor born whether it's in a smart enterprise environment, an intensive creative milieu or a hardcore gaming scenario as the new Blade 16. For the sort of money that Razer is asking for the new Blade, the 16in MacBook Pro is a very alluring alternative, especially for professional creatives, but for those who want or need Windows and who would prefer a machine that can also run the latest games or need a very potent discrete GPU for modelling work, the 2026 Razer Blade is state of the art.

I’ve long been a fan of the Blade’s stripped-back styling, but doubly so since Razer proved it could match the likes of Apple for slimness while still packing epic amounts of gaming potential. This latest version keeps everything I liked about its predecessor, including the gorgeous display, ample connectivity and comfortable keyboard. The extra HDR brightness is a very welcome addition.

And if I spend so much money on one device, I want to use it for a long, long time. Unfortunately, Razer soldered its RAM in place. While you can expand the SSD, you’re otherwise stuck with the memory config you chose. Keep that in mind when you’re buying this expensive machine.

The Razer Blade 16 has been updated for 2026 with a brand new CPU and a higher performance GPU. But under all that lies some hidden problems that make you wonder why Razer even needed to change things....because improvements are hard to find on a laptop that costs MORE than a Macbook Pro with the M5 Max CPU.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop: The GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile uses the GB203 chip and utilizes 10,496 shaders / CUDA cores of the maximum 10,752 that the chip has. This makes the RTX 5090 Laptop more similar to the RTX 5080 desktop variant (same chip) than the Desktop RTX 5090 with 20,760 cores and higher clock rates.
These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing.
