Reviews for the Xiaomi Poco M3
A smartphone for 150 Euros (~$181), can this work? In the case of the Xiaomi Poco M3, it works quite well. For this amount, you get a 6.53-inch Android 10 smartphone with an IPS display, a triple-camera setup, Snapdragon 662, and stereo sound. As a special bonus, you also get a huge 6000-mAh battery. The purchase price even includes a protective case and screen protector.

The Poco M3 comes with a strange heritage, having actually been manufactured by Chinese smart device experts Xiaomi. On offer is a lower midrange smartphone which performs amicably with what's contained under the hood. However, the Poco M3 can be had for R3 199, which seems like a fair price for what you’re getting. It’s certainly not the latest and greatest but performs well with what’s onboard, with especially its body and battery as standouts.

The Poco M3 is an overall great device for the price at which it is offered. There are some tradeoffs such as bloatware, front camera performance but the phone has dual stereo speakers which are unique in the segment, a good display and a good fingerprint sensor as well. Performance lags can be fixed through an update.

The Poco M3 finds its strength in its looks and battery life. There are no problems in the day to day performance of the device as well. The camera performance could have been better but at this price point you can’t win in every aspect. Overall, there’s a lot going for the Poco M3 but falls short of being a compelling buy.

While I was a bit shaky when recommending the Redmi 9 Power, the Poco M3 seems to be a solid budget smartphone. It fixes the 9 Power’s performance and software-related issues and gets you everything you want (big battery, big display, great design, decent performance with 6 GB RAM) along with everything you will expect (average camera, bloatware, slow updates, slow charging) from a budget smartphone. And at Rs 10,999, keeping in mind that eye-catching yellow finish, it’s hard to recommend anything else at this price point.

In terms of sheer performance, the Poco M3 is perhaps the best phone available in the Indian market for around Rs 11,000. Its most obvious rival is its own brother from the same mother, the Redmi 9 Power. Here is our review.

The Poco M3 is more than just its premium looks. It offers much more for an affordable price point including excellent battery life, decent performance, 6GB RAM, a crisp FHD+ display, and a stereo speaker setup. It is a great option to consider under 15K, especially for users that are scouring the market for a smartphone not only performs well but also looks great.

If all you want is an affordable outright purchase for calls and emails then the Poco M3 will last an age and could serve you well. But the quality of even lesser-specified devices out there - which run better overall - means it's not one to recommend.

At a starting price of Rs. 10,999, the POCO M3 is decent budget smartphone that comes with a large 6.53-inch FHD+ screen, 6GB of RAM and a 6000mAh battery, compared to most phones in the price range only offer HD+ screen and 4GB of RAM. The build quality is good, 6000mAh battery offers a good battery life and the camera is decent, but it is not impressive.

If I nit-pick, the software could still use a little weight shedding to give the phone better UI speeds. However, I would not recommend upgrading from the M2, unless you absolutely want the new looks of the M3. The Poco M3 is a great budget device for the price you pay. Starting at Rs 10,999, Poco M3 gets many key aspects right. The phone improves on features of the popular M2 and additions like stereo speakers, unique looks and a big battery make this an ideal phone for teens and college students looking for a good budget device under Rs 12-13,000.

The Poco M3 is a big step forward for the Poco brand. The build quality and design easily bests its competition, and the phone impresses overall with battery life, general performance. The cameras could be a bit better, but that's a problem that plagues most phones in its price range. Overall, the Poco is easily one of the best entry-level phones you can buy.

The POCO M3 combines two-day battery life with a gorgeous design that makes it stand out in the budget segment. The hardware is reliable for most day-to-day tasks, you get 6GB of RAM as standard, and the 48MP camera takes great photos. If you can look past the bloatware, there is a lot to like with the M3.

The Poco M3 is not a game-changer. They don’t come at a price tag of Rs 10,999. It makes some smart choices and offers users what they really want. The smartphone sacrifices the ultra-wide camera, sticks to a 60Hz panel and uses an average processor but it makes up for that with a high-resolution screen, great battery life, brilliant stereo speakers, cool looks and impressive main camera.

The Poco M3 is a good-looking smartphone, if that is important to you. It offers a capable processor and 6GB of RAM, and delivers good performance. Gaming and multitasking are comfortable, and the 6,000mAh battery delivers good battery life. On the other hand, camera performance isn't its strongest suit. If you are in the market looking at the Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power (Review), the Poco M3 is roughly the same package with more RAM and without the ads. If you want more alternatives to consider, do check out our list of the best smartphones under Rs. 15,000.

The Poco M3 offers a new design, a capable processor, and a big battery at an affordable price. It does seem capable of matching or outperforming a few smartphones currently on our list of the best smartphones to buy for less than Rs. 15,000. How well will all this translate from paper to real-world usage? Like any other budget-friendly smartphone, the Poco M3 has its fair share of compromises. It’s far from being the perfect smartphone, but when you add it all up, the experience that the phone offers is exceptional when you factor in the price. Sure, we’d all like to have a better camera and a smartphone that can play the best games Android has to offer, but if your budget is the biggest concern, the Poco M3 is without a doubt an exceptional buy and by far the best $150 smartphone I have ever used.

I will rate this phone 4/5. Overall, the phone has amazing features. But there were some downgraded specs as well. If your budget is low and your preferred features are battery and CPU, then go for it. But if your main concern is the front camera and wide RAM capacity, then this phone is not for you. Anyways, Poco M3 is an attractive handset with all premium features at a very affordable price value. It surely has made its place in the best affordable phones under 30k.

The Poco M3 is a great all-rounder. The constant competition between Realme and Xiaomi (and by extension Poco) has been pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the entry-level segment. We now have a few great, no-compromise phones between €100 and €150 that well deserve your attention with large screens, capable cameras, and great battery life, and the Poco M3 takes a well-deserved place in this select group of devices, earning our full recommendation.

POCO M3 is leaving 2020 as the best value budget phone, thanks to its massive 6000mAh battery, Netflix HD-capable screen, 48MP camera, and a leather-textured design that complements the camera visor well. However, the performance leaves something to be desired, which makes it hard for us to recommend as a daily phone for most users.

It copes calmly even with difficult tasks, for example, during my tests, I could easily play games such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty and others. In addition, I liked the work of the user interface with its many functions and features. The appearance and build quality are at a fairly high level, given its segment and cost. I liked the grooved plastic design on the back of the device. Another positive side is the battery life and the availability of fast charging.

That 6000mAh battery alone should be more than enough to keep many people happy, but when you consider the relatively powerful (for its price) Snapdragon 662 processor, 48-megapixel snapper, and large 6.53-inch display, then there’s no arguing against the overwhelming value that the POCO M3 gives users.
