Philips 279C9: A borderless 4K UHD monitor with a USB Dock and Power Delivery

The award-winning Philips 279C9 not only has a 4K UHD display with DisplayHDR 400 certification, but also a USB Type-C port that supplies up to 65 W via USB Power Delivery. The monitor has four USB 3.2 Type-A ports too, along with two HDMI ports and a DisplayPort. The 400 cd/m² and AMD FreeSync monitor will be available from the end of August for £439 in the UK and €489 in the Eurozone.

Mele PCG02: Fanless PC stick with Ethernet and a 10 W CPU is now orderable

The Mele PCG02 is a compact PC stick that has plenty of connectivity despite its size. The device connects to external monitors and TVs via an HDMI 2.0 port, and is based on the Intel Celeron J4105 Gemini Lake processor. The Mele PCG02 also has 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 64 GB eMMC drive, Gigabit Ethernet and Windows 10 Pro.

Two months after unveiling the U20 5G and Desire 20 Pro, HTC has finally released the Desire 20 Pro. The mid-range phone is now available for purchase in Europe and is priced below the Pixel 4a and Xperia 10 II, although it has to be said that it's also a lot less impressive than those two.

The Poco F2 Pro received the stable MIUI 12 update a few weeks ago, and it appears the update broke an important feature. Owners of the Poco F2 Pro running the build "MIUI 12.0.1.0" have complained about the lack of Widevine DRM L1 support, with their phone now unable to stream HD content from platforms like Netflix.

Xbox Series X launches in November with Halo Infinite delayed until 2021 but at least there's still Tetris

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Series X will be launched in November, with the actual date possibly accidentally leaked via a controller warranty. Halo Infinite has been delayed until 2021, which will leave Xbox Series X owners with exclusive titles such as The Medium, Scorn, and Tetris Effect: Connected to choose from.

We think the world is ready for laptops running on the Ryzen 7 4800H CPU with higher-end Nvidia graphics options. AMD has the processors to really shake up the enthusiast mobile gaming market, but it will be up to the manufacturers to actually make them widely available for consumers.

The Mudra Band is not an ordinary third-party strap for the Apple Watch. Wearable Devices Ltd claims to have brought gesture controls to the popular smartwatch by way of interpreting nerve signals. The Mudra Band communicates via Bluetooth and is currently available to order for US$159. The project has raised over US$170,000 in crowdfunding so far, too.

The Mate X and Mate Xs may stand out from the crowd, but rumour has it that Huawei has scrapped their outwards folding design for this year's model. Instead, the Mate X2 will feature an inwards folding display like Samsung's Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G. The Mate X2 will have a second screen too, along with a huge battery, four cameras, 65 W charging and multiple storage configurations.

NVIDIA is hosting a GeForce Special Event on September 1 and AIB cards will supposedly be available at launch

NVIDIA has confirmed that it will be hosting a GeForce Special Event, but not on August 31. Instead, the event will occur on September 1 and will "highlight the company's latest innovations in gaming and graphics". According to a new rumour, AIB cards like the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be available from launch, too.

Xiaomi has just revealed the new Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition with yellow coloring, rear spoiler, and custom tires. The Lamborghini Edition of the Ninebot GoKart Pro can manage a top speed of 40 km/h (~25 mph), comes with a 432 Wh battery pack, and it will apparently go on sale with a price tag of 9,999 yuan (US$1,440).

Xiaomi rolls out Android 10 to the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India as Mi Note 10 and Redmi Note 8 Pro receive new MIUI 12 upgrades

Xiaomi has started issuing the Android 10 update to some Redmi Note 7 Pro handsets in India. The update is based on MIUI 11 rather than MIUI 12 and contains the July security patch. The rollout of MIUI 12 has been expanded for the Mi Note 10 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, though.
