NVIDIA has announced the date of its next GeForce Special Event, and it is not on August 31. Contrary to the end date presented by the company yesterday, the event will occur on September 1. According to a calendar invite, the GeForce Special Event will commence at 09:00 PDT (UTC-07:00) and will run for an hour.
Unsurprisingly, information about the event remains thin on the ground for the time being. CEO Jensen Huang will be making an address at some point during that hour, where he will "highlight the company's latest innovations in gaming and graphics". The company has already unveiled the A100 GPU, so it would seem that an RTX 3000 series reveal is next on the cards for NVIDIA.
Rumour has it that AIB cards will be ready for September 1, too. According to TweakTown, Founders Edition and AIB editions of the RTX 3000 will launch simultaneously. Videocardz claims to have confirmed this with its AIB contacts. One such custom card is probably the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, a preliminary design of which has already been leaked. Videocardz states that NVIDIA may still be deciding on the final names and prices of the RTX 3000 series too, which is cutting it fine.
