Cyberboard: A Cybertruck and Cyberpunk-inspired mechanical keyboard that costs an astonishing US$410
Angry Miao bills its Cyberboard keyboard as the world's first mechanical keyboard with a custom LED panel. Stylised as CYBERBOARD, the keyboard is a nod towards the design of the Tesla Cybertrunk and Cyberpunk. The keyboard has a CNC-machined 6063 aluminium alloy frame and is available to order from Indiegogo in five colours. Angry Miao calls these Cyber Grey, Industrial Yellow, Purple Haze, Vapor White and Jungle Green. Only 1,000 units will be sold, according to the manufacturer.
The crowdfunding campaign has already raised over US$100,000 in funding from nearly 300 backers. The Cyberboard currently costs US$410, although Angry Miao claims that it will eventually sell the keyboard for US$680.
One of the unique elements about the Cyberboard is its large display, which contains 200 LEDs. Angry Miao has arranged these in five rows and states that they are configurable via a web interface. However, we should point out that the Angry Miao does not include any keycaps or switches with orders. The company has demonstrated the Cyberboard with Holy Panda switches and GMK Vaporwave keycaps. The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0 and USB connectivity.
Angry Miao expects to begin shipping the Cyberboard in October, 2020. All orders will come with the following:
- Cyberboard case
