Corsair has introduced new low profile RGB mechanical keyboards in the K70 MK.2 lineup. The K70 MK.2 Low Profile and the K70 MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire offer Cherry MX Low Profile RGB and Low Profile RGB Speed respectively. As with other Corsair keyboards, the new K70 MK.2 Low Profile keyboards are fully customizable using the iCUE software.

Corsair has introduced two new low profile RGB mechanical keyboards in the K70 MK.2 lineup — the K70 MK.2 Low Profile and K70 MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire. These new keyboards build on the K70 MK.2 and offer new Cherry MX Low Profile switches. The K70 MK.2 Low Profile features the Cherry MX Low Profile switches while the Rapidfire version uses the Cherry MX Low Profile Speed variety, which is exclusive to Corsair.

Corsair says the new keyboards are designed for those who type and game all day. The low travel distance is expected to lessen fatigue during extended work and play. The Cherry MX Low Profile switch has an actuation distance of 1.2 mm while the Cherry MX Low Profile Speed has just a 1.0 mm actuation distance. RGB enthusiasts will appreciate that the new switches are engineered to allow more light to pass through. Corsair's popular iCUE software allows full customization of individual keys including their function and LED lighting while offering the ability to create and assign macros.

The new Low Profile keyboards are also slimmer at a height of 29 mm thanks to the reduced switch height. Other characteristic Corsair features also make their way to the new K70 MK.2 Low Profile keyboards including dedicated multimedia keys, the knurled aluminum volume rocker, USB passthrough port, onboard profile storag, 100% anti-ghosting, and full key rollover. Additionally, you also get replacement WASD and QWERDF low profile keys, which are distinctly textured.

The new K70 MK.2 Low Profile keyboards feature the following specifications —

  • CHERRY® MX Low Profile RGB Red Keyswitches (K70 RGB MK.2 LOW PROFILE) or CHERRY® MX Low Profile RGB Speed Keyswitches (K70 RGB MK.2 LOW PROFILE RAPIDFIRE) [CORSAIR exclusive keyswitch]
  • Anodized Aluminum Frame
  • Multicolor, Per-Key RGB Backlighting
  • Compatible with CORSAIR iCUE Software
  • Detachable Palm Rest Included
  • Dedicated Volume and Multimedia Controls
  • USB 2.0 Type-A Pass-Through Port
  • Textured Replacement WASD and QWERDF Keycaps
  • 8MB Onboard Profile Storage
  • Windows Lock Button
  • 100% Anti-Ghosting with Full Key Rollover

Both the K70 MK.2 Low Profile and K70 MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire are available from authorized Corsair retailers all over the world for US$170 and come with a standard 2 year warranty.
