HP goes all in on AMD: For the first time, the premier EliteBook X series, replacement of the old EliteBook 1000, features Team Red's CPUs. With the new AMD Ryzen Pro AI 300, dual fans and a big battery, the new HP EliteBook X G1a seems to be a powerful productivity machine.

Alongside the new AMD based flagship HP EliteBook X, HP introduces a new version of an existing product: The new 8 core version of the HP EliteBook Ultra G1q is designed to bring down the price of the ARM laptop. The HP laptop also gains a brighter screen option.

In the run-up to IFA, we had a chance to take a closer look at the two new ThinkPad Laptops introduced in Berlin: The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD with the new glass touchpad and the featherweight Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition.

Honor has dipped its toes into the world of Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered laptops for the first time. Arriving as the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon, the 14-inch laptop features the same 3.1K OLED display as its Intel counterpart, as well as its 1 kg overall weight. However, Honor has swapped out Intel's Core Ultra 7 155H for a more efficient Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 chipset.

More lightweight and efficient than ever before: This is the promise of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition. With just 980 g starting weight, it is the most lightweight ThinkPad laptop at the moment and the lightest 14 inch ThinkPad ever made. Intel Core Ultra series 2, also known as Lunar Lake, is supposed to make it one of the most long-lasting ones at the same time.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 is already on the market, though until now only with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite. Three months after the AMD version, Lenovo follows up with the AMD variant - the first ThinkPad laptop with AMD Ryzen AI, also known as Strix Point.
