Deal | Epic Games Store: Two highly-rated games are now free as September 2025 starts

For some reason, the Epic Games Store has now delayed its The Battle of Polytopia giveaway until next week, leaving Monument Valley as the sole free game this week.

With last week's giveaway now drawing to a close, the Epic Games Store has decided to discount another two titles. Kicking off a new month, the storefront has decided to drop Monument Valley and The Battle of Polytopia from their $7.99 and $14.99 retail prices, respectively. Please note that these giveaways will be available to add to your Epic Games library until 15:00 UTC on September 11.
Also available as a mobile game (curr. $3.99 on Amazon), Monument Valley has achieved an Overwhelmingly Positive average on Steam while being awarded numerous accolades, including two during the 11th British Academy Games Awards. Moreover, Monument Valley continues to average 82/100 on OpenCritic and 89/100 on Metacritic.
Meanwhile, The Battle of Polytopia ranks lower with a Very Positive Steam rating, as well as 71/100 and 72/100 on OpenCritic and Metacritic, respectively. With that being said, user reviews have reached 8.8/10 for The Battle of Polytopia, which is said to be an easy route into the 4X strategy genre. It is also worth noting that The Battle of Polytopia can be picked up on Windows and Mac. By contrast, Monument Valley is only available for free on Windows.
