Epic Games Store reveals over $60 worth of free games for mid-September 2025

Epic Games Store is currently offering Monument Valley for $0, and while the storefront was supposed to give away The Battle of Polytopia alongside the current free game, it has been moved to next week. Speaking of which, the storefront has also revealed the other free games that will be available soon.

Alongside The Battle of Polytopia, Epic Games Store will offer Ghostrunner 2, a 2023 game that has been received very well by gamers. To be specific, it has a Metacritic score of 81 and an 81% positive rating on Steam. As the developers describe, it's a hardcore FPP slasher that puts players in a post-apocalyptic world.

Besides the cyberpunk-themed visuals, this upcoming free game is praised for its challenging boss fights, and the story is a direct continuation of the first title. The narrative expands on the lore beyond Dharma Tower, a massive fictional city that's said to be the last refuge for humanity.

Ghostrunner 2 generally goes for $39.99 when there's no sale in place, but it will be available as a free game on Epic Games Store from September 11, 2025. Monument Valley 2 is another freebie that will be available in the same period, and it's also a well-received title. It's an indie puzzler that's praised for its beautifully crafted isometric levels.

This puzzle title lets players experience a story of a mother and daughter, with motherhood and the act of letting go being the main themes. Monument Valley 2 usually goes for $7.99, and it has a 94% positive player rating on Steam.
