In early 2025, Asus introduced the brand new ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) with the latest RTX 50 series GPUs, and it proved itself to be one of the best Windows laptops on the market. However, the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) was quite expensive. To remedy this, Asus refreshed the model in May 2025 with cheaper CPU and GPU options, like the Ryzen 9 270 and the RTX 5060.
As a result, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) can now be had for well under $2,000, with occasional sales reducing the price further. One such promotion has now pushed the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) price down to just $1,399.99 at Best Buy. This discount of $400 has made the ROG Zephyrus G14 an incredible option.
Specs-wsie, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) on sale features a:
- A Ryzen 9 270 APU
- An RTX 5060 laptop GPU
- 16 GB of soldered LPDDR5x RAM
- 1 TB of Gen 4 storage
- A 3K OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate
While we haven’t tested the model on sale, our reviews of the RTX 5080 and the RTX 5070 Ti-powered SKUs confirm that the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is a stellar machine through and through. From performance to build quality, there is little to complain about here.
When it comes to performance, with the 8-core Ryzen 9 270 and the RTX 5060 laptop under the hood, the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) will be able to handle both CPU and GPU-intensive workloads like gaming quite well. For instance, our testing shows that the RTX 5060 can drive demanding AAA games like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle at more than 60 FPS at FHD/High.
You should also not have to worry about the thermals of the ROG Zephyrus G14. Both of our review models displayed no thermal issues, thanks to a new cooling solution. However, we found the fan behavior to be somewhat annoying, as they can be rather loud under load.
What is the opposite of annoying, however, is the OLED display. The 14-inch panel is a joy to use with infinite contrast, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and accurate out-of-the-box colors. The display also delivers more than 400 nits of brightness and full DCI-P3 coverage.
In short, with the release of the latest ROG Zephyrus G14, Asus intended the ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) to be a versatile multimedia powerhouse rather than a pure gaming laptop. The notebook delivers exactly that, as we gave the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) a “very good” rating of 89%. So, if you want one do-it-all Windows laptop, this is it.
