Verdict – The ROG Zephyrus G14 with RTX 5070 Ti delivers convincing performance.
The 2025 version of the compact gaming laptop Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 remains an excellent overall package with the new RTX 5070 Ti model. Although the more expensive version with the RTX 5080 offers a theoretical advantage on paper, gaming benchmarks at both 1080p and QHD show the RTX 5070 Ti model trailing only slightly. With a maximum TGP of 110 watts, the performance gap between the two GPUs is minimal. This makes the high-end RTX 5080 variant especially suitable for content creators who benefit from the additional VRAM and larger RAM, while the RTX 5070 Ti model paired with 32 GB of RAM is fully adequate for gaming.
The performance improvement over the previous ROG Zephyrus G14 2024 with the RTX 4070 is about 25% in gaming benchmarks. Thanks to the increased VRAM, memory-intensive titles such as Indiana Jones can be played smoothly in QHD resolution. Compared to the standard RTX 5070 model with a TGP of 85 watts—which aligns with the weaker variants of the G14—the RTX 5070 Ti model is approximately 20% faster, particularly at QHD resolution.
Razer is expected to launch the new Blade 14 2025 with up to an RTX 5070, so Asus currently holds a unique position in the 14-inch gaming and multimedia laptop segment with its two GPU options: the RTX 5070 Ti and the RTX 5080. However, with a starting price of 3,199 euros, the fast G14 is not an inexpensive choice.

The test unit of the ROG Zephyrus G14 with the RTX 5070 Ti laptop and 2 TB SSD can be pre-ordered from Notebooksbilliger for €3,399. The version with a 1 TB SSD is available from MediaMarkt/Saturn for €3,199.
We have already tested the ROG Zephyrus G14 2025 in detail with the new GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU. Now, we examine the more affordable configuration featuring 32 GB of RAM and the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop, priced at 3,199 euros for the 1 TB SSD model or 3,399 euros for the 2 TB SSD variant. Our test unit is the white version, which is less prone to fingerprints. Aside from the color, the specifications remain identical, including the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and the 120 Hz OLED display. The graphics card’s TGP is also the same, with a maximum of 110 watts, resulting in no differences in cooling or fan noise. This article will therefore concentrate on the graphics card’s performance in synthetic benchmarks and gaming.
