HTC Vive Cosmos Elite Detailed Hands-On Review: Elite of VR headsets, but still not problem free

HTC Vive Cosmos Elite Detailed Hands-On Review: Elite of VR headsets, but still not problem free

VR is still at its beginnings. The HTC Vive Cosmos Elite is practically the VR flagship of the manufacturer. At this point, you can purchase it for slightly less than 950 Euros (~$1147; $899 in the US). Just like the first Vive, it uses external Lighthouse tracking, which works significantly more accurately than the inside-out headsets, which are wireless and easier to move around in. As a VR newcomer, I am stepping into fantastical as well as virtually recreated worlds to evaluate what the future has in store in terms of immersion and what still needs some improvements.

Creative Outlier Air V2 Hands-On Review: An upgrade on an excellent pair of TWS earbuds for US$20 less

The Outlier Air V2 may be Creative's best TWS earbuds yet. Retailing for US$79.99, the earbuds offer a more refined experience than the Outlier Gold without any real compromises. The switch away from the awkward buttons of the Outlier Gold to touch controls is certainly an improvement, but it comes with some drawbacks, too.

Outdated Comet Lake CPU in the Huawei MateBook 14 is only convincing when it comes to battery life

Outdated Comet Lake CPU in the Huawei MateBook 14 is only convincing when it comes to battery life

The Huawei MateBook 14 still relies on Intel Comet Lake. The outdated 14-nanometer chips can't convince in our test in terms of CPU performance; the MateBook 14 AMD is vastly better with its Ryzen 4000 processor. The Intel CPU only shows its strengths when it comes to battery life.

Fortunately PS5 and toilet paper requests peaked at different times. (Image source: Sony/YouTube - edited)

Where to buy a PS5 was a more popular search term for Google users in 2020 than where to buy toilet paper

Consoles and COVID-19 have dominated the “where to buy…” Google search terms for 2020 in the United States. The PlayStation 5 was the most-hunted for product, beating out toilet paper. The Xbox Series X and the Nintendo Switch also made it into the top 10. Unfortunately, the PS5 is very much out of stock.

PCI IDs shed light on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3060 desktop graphics cards

The GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3060 will be based on different GPUs, according to updated PCI IDs. Apparently, the RTX 3050 could be the only card to utilise the GA107 GPU, while NVIDIA will use its GA106 GPU for the GeForce RTX 3060.

The new Polaris 4K projector. (Source: Bomaker )

The Polaris 4K Laser TV is a new ultra-short-throw projector launched via Indiegogo

Bomaker is not what could be called a household name in the home-theater projector market; nevertheless, it has made some attention-grabbing claims for its product freshly put up for crowdfunding. They include the ability to throw a 200-inch 4K screen up onto a wall just 31 inches away from this device.

Honor Router 3 Hands-On Review: Stylish, affordable and with a good feature set

The Honor Router 3 offers good looks, fast connectivity and more versatility than many routers that internet companies provide. The Router 3 is not without its issues though, as we have discovered during our time with the device.

Cyberpunk 2077 rakes in over US$500 million just with preorders with insane Collector's Edition containing V statue, art book, and Night City map priced at US$249.99

Rumor | The OnePlus 9 Pro will be IP68-certified, whereas the 9 and 9E will not

OnePlus is an OEM that has come to official ingress-protection ratings relatively late in its life cycle. However, it bowed to consumer pressure and provided the IP68 spec in its early-2020 flagship, the 8 Pro. Now, a reliable leaker asserts that its successor is getting the same.
