Android Authority has received a slew of information about the Galaxy S21 series from the largest Samsung store in India. Referencing executives at the Opera House outlet in Bengaluru, the website claims that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S21 series globally on January 14, with the commencement of pre-orders to follow on January 22. However, Samsung will not make its trio of Galaxy S21 devices available to order in India until January 29, for some reason.
Nonetheless, Android Authority reports that the store is already taking pre-bookings for the Galaxy S21 series. Apparently, one can pay INR 2,000 (~US$27) to be kept abreast of availability and delivery details. Pre-bookers can choose their favoured model after Samsung officially launches the series, too.
The same store added that the Galaxy S21 series will be available in the following colours:
- Galaxy S21 - Grey, Pink, Purple, White
- Galaxy S21+ - Pink, Purple, Silver, Black
- Galaxy S21 Ultra - Black, Silver
Incidentally, @cozyplanes claims to have confirmed the back panel material of the Galaxy S21. Citing unnamed sources, the account claims that Samsung will use its 'glasstic' technique of polishing plastic to look like glass. The company received plenty of criticism for using glasstic on the Note 20, so this will probably also be the case with the Galaxy S21.
