The Mi 11 will be Xiaomi's next flagship device line and a number of leaks and reports have revealed important details about the devices. The latest, yesterday, showed the rear camera setup of the Mi 11, for example. A separate leak, however, may bring glad tidings for smartphone enthusiasts.

According to popular tipster Abhishek Yadav, Xiaomi will release three Mi 11 devices. The first two will be the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro as one would expect. It's the last of the trio that's particularly interesting, as the source hypothesizes that it could be the Mi 11 Mini.

This isn't the first time such a report has surfaced. Back in October, a post by Xiaomi executive Lu Weibing hinted at the company making a compact phone, possibly in admiration of the iPhone 12 Mini. That lends serious credence to the idea of a Mi 11 Mini. Xiaomi also has a strong history of copying Apple, so such a phone wouldn't be a left-field move.

Xiaomi phones have slowly gotten bigger over the past few years, keeping with industry trends. The Mi 6, for example, was only 145.2mm long, while the Mi 10 was considerably longer at 162.5mm. The company's entire lineup mirrors that, leaving a gaping space for a compact device with competitive hardware. The Mi 11 Mini may just be that. Fingers crossed.
