Xiaomi Mi 11 turns up in alleged live image with the triple-camera setup conveniently in focus
An alleged live photo of the Xiaomi Mi 11 has appeared online, initially uploaded on Chinese social media before spreading to services like Twitter and Telegram. Like many leaked live images of Chinese-made flagship smartphones, it seems the owner of the Mi 11 was sitting innocently on public transport unaware that there was someone taking sneaky spyshots of their newsworthy device. In this particular Xiaomi Mi 11 live image, it is the rear of the smartphone taking center stage, revealing the main camera setup.
It’s already been widely speculated that the Mi 11 would come with a camera arrangement housed in a square-shaped unit featuring at least one giant sensor (108 MP…maybe even up to 192 MP or more). The live photo here (see below and teaser image) reveals the three sensors and flash in the square housing just poking out of the owner’s pocket. Although it has been reported as a real-world image of the Xiaomi Mi 11, it could also be the Mi 11 Pro, a Xiaomi prototype, or even a dummy model.
Of course, there is always the suspicion with these kinds of photos that they have been carefully staged by the OEM in question. There is plenty of hype building around the Xiaomi Mi 11 series, which will feature the brand-new Snapdragon 888 chip and no doubt amaze the smartphone-buying public with a whole range of incredible components. So a conveniently timed leaked live image of the Mi 11 would certainly help contribute to that growing hype and keep the upcoming Xiaomi flagship in news headlines.
