At $2,399 for the base model, and $3,499 as spec’d, the 16-inch MacBook Pro is for those who need their laptop to be productive — it’s a pro machine through and through. I would advise against spending this much money on a computer if all you’re going to use it for is Netflix and word-processing. For that, Apple has some great notebooks that are far cheaper and better suited to those tasks. If you want something slightly smaller with only a little less power, the 13-inch Pro is a great option. If you want a true thin-and-light machine, the MacBook Air might suit you. I enjoyed my time with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. It continues to be my work computer for everything from researching to writing to video editing. With fantastic performance, decent battery life, a convenient form factor, and a brilliant screen, there’s not much to dislike. It’s far better than its predecessor, and if you need a workhorse laptop running macOS, look no further.

Series: The Apple MacBook Pro 16 2019 is the most powerful notebook Apple has ever made. The highlights of the Macbook Pro include a 16-inch Retina display, super-fast processors, next-generation graphics, the largest battery capacity ever in a MacBook Pro, and massive storage. The 16-inch Retina display is the largest Retina display ever in a Mac notebook. It produces 500 nits of brightness for bright whites, while delivering deep blacks thanks to the precise photo alignment of liquid crystal molecules. The P3 wide color gamut allows the screen to display true-to-life images and videos. The thermal architecture in the MacBook Pro has been completely redesigned. It features larger impellers with improved fan blades for optimal airflow and more heat-dispersing fins for more effective cooling. Thanks to the more advanced thermal design, the Intel Core i9 processor with up to 8 cores and 16 threads sustains higher performance for longer periods of time. It also delivers up to 2.1 times the performance of its predecessors, which is a quad-core MacBook Pro.

The 16-inch MacBook Pro uses up to 64 GB 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM for smooth performance. It also has up to 8 TB of SSD storage, which is the most available in any notebook. The AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series delivers the graphics horsepower in a MacBook Pro. The graphics helps the Macbook to be over two times faster than the previous-generation for seamless playback and faster rendering of ultra-high-definition videos. Besides that, the new Magic Keyboard features a refined scissor mechanism with 1 mm of travel for a responsive, comfortable and quiet typing experience. The Touch Bar places powerful shortcuts front and centre, and Touch ID can provide fast authentication. As for audio, the six-speaker sound system produces room-filling wide stereo sound like users have never heard from a notebook before.
