Once again, with the MacBook Pro 2019 refreshes, Apple has built a well-designed professional laptop with the MacBook Pro 15-inch (2019). Its upgraded internal components bring a welcome boost. However, the lack of port variety stops it from being a truly flexible prosumer device.

It’s unfortunate that the MacBook Pro (and the MacBook and MacBook Air) continue to be plagued by the keyboard-related issues. It’s unlikely that you will be affected by this issue though, and should you be, Apple will fix the problem for free but you may not be willing to take that risk.

Apple 16-inch MacBook Pro review: hands-on with the first new MBP size since 2006
Source: Digital Arts English Archive.org version
The 16-inch MacBook Pro is, unsurprisingly, the best Mac laptop to date. Based on 24 hours experience, I’d say that if you bought either the 2018 or 2019 15-inch model, there’s little reason to upgrade yet – but if you’ve been hanging on, this could the moment to invest in a new MacBook Pro. But for a definite answer, wait for our full review with complete benchmarks including a battery test.

Simply put, the 2019 15-inch MacBook Pro is blindingly fast, with beefy 9th Gen Core i9 performance and SSD speeds that give the competition whiplash. On the downside, the MacBook Pro has spent a few too many years with the same look, and arguably far more time with the Butterfly-key switch than it should. The improvements in this year's Butterfly mechanism at least sound promising. Plus you get a great display, powerful audio and long battery life.

Model: Apple fans are bound to rejoice upon the announcement of the Apple MacBook Pro 15 in the year of 2019. The updated, sharp and powerful Apple MacBook Pro 15 is making its way to you with 9th generation Intel processors, making it the fastest MacBooks to be ever created thus far. Along with fast processors, this MacBook model also offers all-day battery life. The Apple MacBook Pro 15 is considered to be for avid music lovers. This is due to the fact that the device itself is more than capable of bringing out the best sound from sturdy, bumping bass of any music played on. Tests and demonstrations have presented a consistent record of music being able to be heard from outside of a enclosed four-walled chamber whereby the Apple MacBook Pro 15 is being placed within. This indicates that the Apple MacBook Pro 15 is capable of projecting a high-volume capacity, which is suitable to be used in closed quarters or secluded environments such as a studio room for educational or mere leisure purposes. Work productivity has been a recurring focal point for Apple as a premium brand company to work their way around in order to ensure their products are capable of improving their user’s quality of life. With dozens of Google Chrome tabs, YouTube videos running at 1080p definition, and several Microsoft Office PowerPoint launched on a split screen, the Apple MacBook Pro 15 impressively runs with zero stutters or lags. The 9th generation Intel Core i9-9980HK processor and 32 GB of RAM allow a multitude of programs to run all at the same time with ample space.

At present, the MacBook Pro ships with macOS Mojave, which is not an entirely thrilling update. However, the newly most promoted feature, the Dark Mode, will be available through iOS in this coming fall season. Favorable features of the Apple MacBook Pro 15 that are to be expected to come this fall would include Continuity Camera and Quick Actions. In addition, macOS Catalina will bring iPad apps to MacOS with Project Catalyst, which give iPad owners the ability to extend their desktops. Overall, the 2019 15-inch MacBook Pro is fast with 9th generation Intel Core i9 performance, better Retina display, booming amazing sound and longer battery life making it the best laptop around. However, the downside of the MacBook Pro 15 is that Apple tends to stick with the same look for many years. Despite that, you still can get the all-powerful performance laptop with classic look of Apple design.

15.40":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

Apple: Apple is a US company founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Headquartered in Cupertino, California, the company is known for its innovative products such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, and manufactures computers and consumer electronics as well as operating systems and application software. Apple is also a leading provider of software and services such as the App Store, iTunes and iCloud.

Apple has earned a reputation as a company that focuses on design and ease of use. As for their notebooks, they are mostly in the high-priced segment, have their own operating system, but also run Windows on the newer Macbooks.

Apple is one of the most valuable companies in the world and has a loyal following of customers and fans. The company also has a strong presence in the entertainment industry, with services like Apple Music and Apple TV+. In 2023, Apple had an approximate 8% market share of global PC sales, ranking it 4th after Lenovo, HP, and Dell.

80%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
