Vivo has announced that it will debut the X60 premium smartphone series outside China for the first time on March 22, 2021. They will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, as opposed to the Exynos 1080 they launched with in their domestic market. Nevertheless, they may prove an interesting new entry to the global market.

SK Hynix reveals that it makes the new 18GB RAM chip found in the Asus ROG Phone 5

SK Hynix has just launched its latest LPDDR5 RAM product: a ground-breaking 18GB module for smartphones. The OEM claims that it has a superior data-transfer rate compared to existing memory chips of the same generation. This latest and greatest iteration is now in mass production, although it has already been deployed in the top-end SKUs of 1 upcoming device: the Asus ROG Phone 5.

Apple might actually release augmented reality contact lenses in the 2030s, per Ming Chi-Kuo

Industry analyst Ming Chi-Kuo offered up an eyebrow-raising prediction in a recent research note. Kuo believes that Apple will release augmented reality contact lenses by the mid 2030s, potentially transforming the way people engage with technology and the world around them.

Realistic Combat Overhaul Mod for Cyberpunk 2077 improves bullet-sponge combat

While Cyberpunk 2077's official 1.2 patch has been delayed somewhat, enterprising modders are improving aspects of the game by themselves. The Realistic Combat Overhaul by cortlong50 promises to revamp combat by making both the player - and enemy NPCs - significantly more dangerous to each other.
