The GeForce RTX 20 SUPER series are on the horizon, but a set of OpenCL benchmark postings will make for bleak reading for NVIDIA fans. The RTX 2060 SUPER, RTX 2070 SUPER and AMD Radeon RX 5700 have all been tested in the same ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI APEX motherboard, with the latter coming out on top.

The story of a Samsung Galaxy S10 self-destructing has been circulating on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The device apparently caught fire while charging just over a day after it was purchased. An accompanying video shows the bulging battery still smoking, having destroyed the device, in something reminiscent of the Note 7 debacle.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has lashed out at a Wall Street Journal article that reported Jony Ive decided to leave the company because Cook wasn't interested in design. In an email to sent to NBC's Dylan Byers, Cook refutes the story's claims as 'absurd' and that the article didn't align with the reality of the situation.

While everyone is expecting for the return of the legendary Motorola Razr, the US market should get ready to receive another handset from this brand. According to Canalys mobile VP Nicole Peng, 5G smartphones will see a rapid adoption in China thanks to the strong government roadmap and the financial capabilities of the local operators. A device called the Xiaomi Mi CC 9e has appeared on the Geekbench 4 website. Its results in these tests depict it as a 6GB phone powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. The Mi CC 9e also apparently runs Android Pie, but that is all that can be gleaned from this leak.

Samsung's first phablet without a notch and/or cutout — thanks to the sliding camera assembly — is finally going on sale both online and offline in select markets across the globe about three months since its debut. The Galaxy A80 is priced at more than US$730 and comes in Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black.

The trade restrictions that Japan has just announced will make it harder for companies such as Samsung and LG to buy various materials used in both chips and smartphones. The list of these materials includes resist, hydrogen fluoride, and fluorinated polyimide. Starting July 4, local companies will need the government's approval to export such materials to South Korea.

Samsung's answer to Google Play replaces apps with capsules, aiming to lay the foundation "for an open ecosystem of useful services that developers will continuously enrich, and users will be able to make their mobile experience more personal and intuitive." Sadly, this service is only available in the US and South Korea for now.

Google may be working on a new way to send files between devices without necessarily relying on the internet. This new feature, called Fast Share, may be intended to compete with Apple's AirDrop. Unlike Android Beam, it involves the instigation of Bluetooth connections.

The release of the RTX 20 Super series will not coincide with price drops for current RTX 20 Desktop GPUs. Instead, NVIDIA will only keep on the RTX 2060 and RTX 2080 Ti, with the other two SKUs being replaced by their Super successors. Google has reached out to SwiftKey users, informing them that the app’s normal ability to predict text while typing based on Gmail data will be suspended soon. This measure is to come into effect starting from July 15, 2019. Then again, this may not be necessary should the SwiftKey developers comply with Google’s latest privacy policies.

The specifications and expected performance targets for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX Super series has leaked online. The Super GPUs feature upgrades to CUDA cores, memory, and clocks along with improved ray tracing performance. Specifications for the RTX 2080 Super are not yet available.

The upcoming 12 core and 24 thread Ryzen 9 3900X has posted seriously impressive Geekbench 4.3 and SiSoftware multi-core scores, leaving the Core i9-9900K and even the Threadripper 2950X in its wake. The benchmark results confirm that the CPU will have a 3.8 GHz base clock that it can boost to between 4.51 and 4.54 GHz.

Apple fans were shocked by news that legendary design guru Jony Ive is leaving the company. While Ive has undoubtedly contributed significantly to numerous iconic Apple designs in the past, he is not, however, leaving Apple on a design high.

A game benchmark of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super has leaked online and the card seems to have scored lower about 15% lower than an AMD Radeon 'Navi' RX 5700 XT. The details of the game are not known and this is only one score we have at the moment so we'd advise to take it with a pinch of the proverbial salt.

The carrier T-Mobile has released the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G for sale today (June 28, 2019). This coincides with its inaugural 5G service debut. However, it currently only covers 6 cities in the US, and not much of any of them at that.

Those who own or plan on owning Huawei or Honor Android devices may have been alarmed by reports that their parent company had lost crucial certifications necessary to use this OS. Despite this, however, Honor's latest flagships (the 20 and 20 Pro) have been found on the Google Play Certified list. One of Huawei's latest phones, the Nova 5i, is also present here.
