The upcoming contest between Super and Navi seems to be approaching more rapidly, as benchmarks start to get leaked online. We only just reported on a game benchmark that appeared to demonstrate AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card showing Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 2060 Super the door, but this time the GeForce RTX 2070 Super has popped up to take revenge.
In the Final Fantasy XV benchmark result shared by Tum Apisak, the Radeon RX 5700 XT achieved a respectable 5,473 points, putting it ahead of cards such as the AMD Radeon VII and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Max-Q. But powering away on 7,579 points in the 2560x1440, high quality FFXV benchmark is none other than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, which is over 12% ahead of its non-Super namesake.
A notable mention has to be given to the ageing Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti that still manages a high result of 7,827 points. There have been comments that the Final Fantasy XV test is weighted towards Nvidia’s products, which is a fair claim to make when it can be plainly seen that the top 14 places of this particular 2560x1440, high quality benchmark are all currently occupied by Nvidia cards.
