Big Business. The new HP ProBook 470 promises professional quality at a bargain price, but what is the catch? Despite a Core-i7 chip, a lot of memory and a dedicated Radeon GPU, this 17-inch notebook is available at prices starting at less than 800 Euros (~$1093).

Ultrabook by Toshiba. Toshiba now has a new ultrabook series in its lineup and the manufacturer relies on cutting-edge technology for it: Haswell ULV processor, touchscreen and a swift SSD cache are to lure laptop buyers. Whether it can will be seen in our test report.

Ultra-huge. 6.4-inches, Full HD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. These are the impressive specs for the combination of a smartphone and a tablet. We are not concerned that the Xperia Ultra Z is not powerful enough to handle all upcoming tasks - but we are not so sure about the ergonomics. Operating the device with just one hand can be a real challenge.

Silver arrow. Toshiba sent us a 15.6-inch multimedia notebook after we already reviewed two larger 17-inch devices. How does the silver colored aluminum device perform and what can you expect from the Satellite P50-A-11L?

Light(s) in the dark. Equipped with a quad-core Haswell CPU, Nvidia's fastest mobile single GPU, and capable of various lighting effects, the Alienware 17 vies for the attention of gaming customers. Our review will determine if the update is a worthwhile choice.

Strong build with a few weaknesses. The all-around notebook of Toshiba is equipped with a powerful Intel Core i7 from the Haswell generation and a dedicated GPU from Nvidia. Plenty of RAM rounds off the packet. But can the notebook deliver what it has promised?

Short-winded. There are many affordable multimedia laptops that even manage up-to-date games in medium to high settings for around 600 Euros (~$813). Toshiba's Satellite C55-A-1D5 is no exception. However, it exhibits shortcomings in ergonomics, build and, above all, battery runtime.

Modest, fast, well-made. The XMG A503 is the newest model in Schenker Technologies' mid-range gaming series. The Ivy Bridge CPU and the GeForce GT 650M have been replaced by a combination of a Haswell CPU and a GeForce GTX 765M. Is this enough to satisfy our expectations?

Affordable and conservative. While the waves of Ultrabooks and tablets wash over the market, Toshiba’s got something just the opposite: a conventional, 17-inch desktop replacement. Just because you’ve got the latest parts doesn’t mean you have to embrace the latest trends… right?

Handy detachable. The 10.1-inch SlateBook x2 joins the 11.6-inch Envy x2 and 13.3-inch Split x2 as one of HP's key products in the detachable notebook category. AMD all-rounder. Asus equipped its latest notebook with a quad-core CPU and a dual graphics solution. Thanks to a 1 TB hard drive, the laptop has a big storage capacity. Our review reveals whether the computer is attractive.

Touch to play. After reviewing the ultrabook-like Acer Aspire V5, we now put our hands on the Acer Aspire V7-582PG. The Full HD touchscreen is to ensure easy use of the Metro interface.
