Nokia releases teaser for October 22nd event

Teaser
We can look forward to a new phone, a tablet, and surprisingly to a notebook

As previously reported, Nokia is planning a press event on October 22nd in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The long rumored Lumia 1510 codenamed Bandit is expected to make an appearance, as is the company's tablet which we've seen in a number of leaked photos over the past months. What no one expected to see from the once Finnish company is a notebook.

The Lumia 1520 is expected to be the first Windows Phone phablet. Rumors so far point to a 6-inch Full HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Of the three devices this one is most likely to succeed given the ongoing trend towards larger screens and the relative success of it's predecessor the Lumia 1020.

The new tablet is rumored to be the Lumia 2520 which also seems to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor and have a Full HD display, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable internal storage. Leaked images also point to a Microsoft Surface inspired kickstand. The tablet will run on Windows RT 8.1 which might put off some potential buyers, as might the hefty price which is expected to start at US$499.

Finally, the notebook is a complete unknown. While it looks to be around the 14-inch mark, there simply isn't any other info to go on. Nokia certainly seems to be trying to make the most of its new relationship with Microsoft though moving into a new market, especially one as competitive as the laptop market, is certainly a big risk.
