The Samsung Galaxy Round may be the first curved display smartphone that made it to the market, but LG's upcoming G FLex will also be the first phone in the world to have a display that bends from top to bottom. The first renders of this handset already appeared online and its unveiling is expected to take place in November.
According to inside sources quoted by The Verge, the display used by the LG G Flex is the 6-inch curved OLED screen recently detailed by LG Display in a press release. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the rest of the hardware specs or the handset's pricing, but it was revealed that LG is working around the clock to release the phablet before next month ends.
While Samsung Galaxy Round's curved screen does not seem to bring many advantages with it, the design used by the LG G Flex is more practical and very ergonomic, also sporting a futuristic look. If the hardware it offers matches the looks and comes for a good price, Samsung and Apple may soon find their flagship devices facing a really powerful enemy. We will keep you posted as more details should emerge anytime now.
