Samsung may have already scheduled an event for the 24th of February, but LG is preempting them by having their own party a few days earlier. The company today sent out invites to members of the press, asking them to an event on the 13th of February at the LG Twin Towers in Seoul.
Using the tagline "Knock-knock knockin' on", the invitation is an ode to LG's Knock feature, which turns a device on or off by double tapping the screen and is expected to become a mainstay of all upcoming LG smartphones. The invite doesn't add many other details, but the safest bet is that the company will unveil their new G Pro 2 smartphone, which was officially confirmed late last month.
While the G Pro 2 isn't the successor to the company's flagship G2, it is still expected to feature premium specs that include a 6" full-HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU and 3GB of RAM all powered by Android 4.4 KitKat. Of course, what LG has in store could be entirely different than what's been rumored, and we'll be tuning in next Thursday to find out.
