Reviews for the Motorola Moto G Max

The Moto G Max gets the basics right with a smooth 120Hz display, reliable performance, stereo speakers and impressive battery life. Its 32MP selfie camera is also a strong performer. However, the LCD panel, average rear cameras and relatively slow charging prevent it from being a truly “Max” offering, especially against rivals such as the Redmi Note 17 (review) that offer AMOLED displays and longer software support. The Redmi smartphone also delivers more natural-looking images.

As part of the G-series, the latest Moto G Max is a well-rounded smartphone. It offers the best of both the Moto G57 Power and G77 Power. This includes a likeable design, a sharp 120Hz display, immersive stereo speakers, dependable everyday performance, capable selfies, and a 7,000mAh battery that can comfortably last a full day. The G Max also offers better software support than some of its more affordable G-series offerings.

That said, the Moto G Max sure seems to be a decent smartphone in this price segment. The handset features a large display and a decent design language. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm chipset, which is good enough to run everyday apps.
