Motorola Edge 70 Pro

Motorola Edge 70 Pro
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is reviewed as a well-balanced mid-range smartphone with a slim design, strong AMOLED display, reliable performance, and long battery life. Reviewers note that inconsistent cameras, weaker sustained gaming thermals, limited software support, and added software clutter prevent it from becoming a standout all-rounder.

Pros

+ Premium slim design
+ Excellent AMOLED display
+ Strong battery life
+ Reliable everyday performance
+ Near-stock Android feel

Cons

- Inconsistent camera performance
- No wireless charging
- Limited software support
- Gaming thermals could improve
- Some preloaded software

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro earns an overall good rating of 82% and is positioned as a sensible mid-range smartphone. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, up to 12 GB of memory, and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Its 6,500 mAh battery, slim body, and 183 g weight make it notable for combining stamina with portability. Reviews praise its comfortable design, strong display quality, reliable daily performance, and mostly clean Android experience with useful Motorola additions. However, the camera system is described as inconsistent, while sustained gaming performance and thermal control leave room for improvement. The phone is a strong everyday option, but users focused on cameras, gaming, wireless charging, or longer software support may find better alternatives.

Reviews for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro

73% Motorola Edge 70 Pro review: The slim battery champ that punches above its weight
Source: Phone Arena English
I didn't expect to like the Motorola Edge 70 Pro as much as I did. Overall, it doesn't have any major flaw and passes most requirements one might have of a great mid-range phone with flying colors. It performs well enough, has excellent battery life, great peak brightness, a capable camera, lovely speakers, and lovely and durable design.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is another strong all-rounder from a brand on a roll. Motorola has improved stamina to a stand-out degree, while the addition of a decent 3.5x telephoto camera certainly adds a feeling of greater flagship authority. Some might well have expected a metal frame and a tad more performance headroom for their £750, not to mention a longer software update promise.

80% Motorola Edge 70 Pro review: Refined design, great display strikes perfect balance
Source: The Indian Express English
The Edge 70 Pro gets a lot right. It combines a slim build and sleek design with one of the best displays in its class, clean software, dependable cameras, and good battery life into a package that feels far more premium than other alternatives in the crowded Rs 40,000 category. If performance and cameras are your priorities, there might be better options available. But the Edge 70 Pro is one of the easiest smartphones to recommend, especially given its thoughtful AI features and lightweight design, which make it a delight to use every day.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Review | Most Stunning Phone of 2026?
Source: Tech Spurt English
Reviewing the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, a beautiful slender smartphone that might not quite hit iPhone Air levels of thinness, but smashes it for battery life. I've been testing it as my full-time phone so here's my Motorola Edge 70 Pro verdict, from gaming performance and camera capabilities to the everyday experiences.

80% Motorola Edge 70 Pro Review: Sleek, Light, and Bright!
Source: NDTV Gadgets English
To conclude, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro tries to stand out from the crowd. The handset features a sleek, premium design language. However, the overall look and feel match the Edge DNA, but it has now become monotonous, especially in the design. That said, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro is still available in different finishes, which is rare at this price point. The company has also ensured a vivid display that delivers sharp, colourful visuals. Plus, the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection sure adds some sturdiness, though don't risk testing it out. The performance is decent considering the price tag. However, it does get hot after prolonged usage. Moreover, the cameras are decent for the price, but don't expect them to perform well in different lighting conditions.

70% Moto Edge 70 Pro review: Slim, bright, and built to last
Source: The Times of India English
Moto Edge 70 Pro comes with a starting price tag of Rs 38,999. At this price point, Moto Edge 70 Pro is a compelling mid-premium package that gets the fundamentals right. Its ultra-slim design, dependable large 6,500mAh battery, bright colour-rich AMOLED display, and powerful Dimensity 8500 Extreme SoC for smooth everyday performance make it stand out from the crowd. This is a good option for users seeking a balanced smartphone focused on everyday usability.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro vs Nothing Phone (4a) Pro software comparison: close to stock, yet far from identical
Source: 91mobiles English
While there are other factors to consider before buying a smartphone, software remains a key one, as it is the layer that ties everything together. Neither smartphone offers the longest software support in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment, but both stay close to stock Android. That said, despite sharing a similar philosophy, the way these two smartphones approach software is markedly different. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro brings useful additions such as gesture controls, deeper customisation options, and an extensive AI toolkit, all while staying fairly close to Google’s vision of Android. However, that added functionality comes with some baggage: preloaded apps, occasional recommendations, and elements like Glance, which dilute the clean Android appeal – even if they can be disabled.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro review: Solid fundamentals, but lacks distinct appeal
Source: Business Standard English
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro gets the basics right. It offers a comfortable design, strong display, reliable performance and dependable battery life. However, it does come with compromises. The camera lacks consistency, thermal performance could be better for extended gaming, and the software experience is slightly less clean than before. This is a good option for users seeking a balanced smartphone focused on everyday usability. However, those prioritising camera versatility, sustained gaming performance or larger battery capacity may want to consider alternatives.

4 reasons to buy Motorola Edge 70 Pro and 3 reasons to skip
Source: 91mobiles English
Priced starting at Rs 38,999, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro remains a sensible choice for most users. However, as noted in our detailed review, there are areas where the smartphone could have performed better. Despite being more expensive than its predecessor, the OEM has had to cut a few corners to keep the price competitive, largely due to rising memory costs. This calls for a more thoughtful consideration, and that’s exactly what this article aims to provide. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro gets the fundamentals right: design, battery life, display, and day-to-day smoothness. It’s a phone that feels great to live with, especially if you prioritise comfort and reliability over raw power. However, it stops just short of being a complete all-rounder. If your priorities lean towards gaming performance, camera accuracy, or long-term software support, there are more compelling options in the same bracket. For everyone else, though, this is a well-balanced device that quietly excels in the areas that matter most day to day.

82% Motorola Edge 70 Pro review: sensible choice for most
Source: 91mobiles English
Unlike its predecessor, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro no longer tries to do everything, and that shift comes with a few noticeable trade-offs, likely influenced by rising RAM costs. The most prominent omissions are wireless charging and a dedicated telephoto camera. The absence of wireless charging is easier to overlook; none of its direct rivals offers it either. However, the recently-launched Nothing Phone (4a) Pro offers a reliable telephoto camera, making its setup more versatile. The handset pulls ahead in areas like selfies and portrait photography, where its processing feels more refined and consistent. Furthermore, software support is another area where the Edge 70 Pro falls behind.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro review: One of the most complete phones you can buy, but…
Source: Think Digit English
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro gets almost everything right, and this time, there’s really just one clear compromise or two, if you also factor in the omission of wireless charging. The Edge 70 Pro brings a stunning design that feels premium in every sense, one of the best displays in the segment, strong and reliable performance, clean near-stock software, and excellent battery life that genuinely lasts. This is a very well-rounded, polished smartphone that delivers in almost every department. The only real downgrade comes in the camera department, especially when you compare it to the Motorola Edge 60 Pro. While the cameras are still good and usable, they don’t quite match the expectations set by its predecessor. So the decision is straightforward, if cameras are not your absolute top priority, the Edge 70 Pro is an easy recommendation. Apart from that, this is easily one of the most complete phones you can buy right now, especially considering that it doesn’t cost a bomb.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Specifications, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is shaping up to be a seriously impressive mid-range contender, announced in late April 2026 and expected to hit shelves within a week. It packs a massive 6,500 mAh silicon carbon battery that is the kind of capacity you usually find in rugged phones, but here it is inside a slim, good-looking body just 7.0–7.3 mm thick and around 183–190 grams. Charging is equally future proof 90W wired support gets you back to full in no time, plus 5W reverse wired charging for your earbuds or a friend’s phone. The phone runs Android 16 out of the box and promises 3 major Android upgrades, so it will stay fresh for years.

ARM Mali-G720 MP8: High-end graphics chip for smartphones with 8 of the 16 possible cores. Based on the new "5th Gen" architecture (successor to Valhall) including Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Ray Racing. Compared to the G715, 15% higher performance should be possible at the same clock rates.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
