A single and multi-core score of 1,323 and 4,215 indicates that Samsung's silicon seems to best Qualcomm's offering, which managed to score 1,204 and 4,121. The increased single-core performance is likely a result of both chips using ARM's Cortex-X1 Super core.

Samsung has dropped the first hints about the Exynos 1080, its mid-range successor to the Exynos 980. The chipset is due to be built on a 5 nm node with ARM's new Cortex-A78 and Mali-G78 cores. Samsung claims that the Exynos 1080 will score over 650,000 points in AnTuTu, a score that would put it beyond flagship chipsets like the Snapdragon 865.

The new TCL TAB launches via Verizon

TCL launched its 8-inch 10 TABMID slate during IFA 2020 Special Edition. Now, a variant of this device has launched in the US through the carrier Verizon. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, but also has 4G connectivity and its OEM's NXTVISION screen technology. It has been priced at just under US$200 and is available from now.

Samsung launches the Galaxy F41 as a revised M31 for the Indian market with a release-day special offer

Samsung has launched the Galaxy F41, which has heretofore been the stuff of rumors concerning a new series of smartphones from this OEM for the Indian market. It has nearly the exact same specs as the Galaxy M31, except for rear cameras that are updated in both configuration and appearance. Flipkart plans to release it in conjunction with a special event it is hosting on October 16, 2020.
