An alleged official poster leak suggests the Infinix Note 8 is close to launch
Phones that are light on price but relatively strong on specs are becoming more and more populous in 2020. Then again, these cost-effective models tend to come from a small pool of brands: Xiaomi/Redmi (or Poco for those in India) and Realme may be most likely to spring to mind in this space. However, according to some recent leaks, Infinix is coming with a new device to break this looming monotony for consumers.
The phone in question is said to be called the Note 8 (so as to carry on from the Tecno brand's Note 7 from 2019) and will rock the MediaTek Helio G80 in addition to some other potentially compelling specs such as quad rear cameras. The latest leak associated with this possibly upcoming product may confirm these earlier reports while also providing an insight as to what the Infinix alternative might look like.
This new leak comes in the form of alleged marketing material from this OEM posted to Twitter by the user @TechnoAnkit1. These images show a device with a dual selfie camera set into a corner of the display. They also allude to the 64MP main shooter spec from previous rumors, and show a rear panel with a blue-green angular fade effect.
They also hint that the Note 8 is actually part of a series that also containts an 8i variant. According to the posters, it will have the same SoC as the headline model, although little else is directly revealed about it. Then again, this new possible evidence of the new Infinix phones does not include a launch date: all it will say on this subject is that they are "coming soon".
