Google releases list of 21 smartphones that support Android Q Beta 3 - Essential and Xiaomi but no Samsung
Android Q is expected to be released later this year and Beta 3 was announced at Google I/O 2019. Initially, just a list of companies involved in this stage of testing was revealed; however, now a full list of the actual smartphones that can operate Android Q Beta 3 has been posted by the tech giant. Here are all the devices that are compatible with the latest beta release:

- Nokia 8.1
- OnePlus 6T
- Oppo Reno
- Realme 3 Pro
- Sony Xperia XZ3
- TECNO SPARK 3 Pro

- Vivo NEX A
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G
- Google Pixel 3
- Google Pixel 3 XL
- Google Pixel 2
- Google Pixel 2 XL
- Google Pixel
- Google Pixel XL
(OnePlus has also stated that the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 7 series will have early access to Android Q.)
Although a major OEM like Samsung is missing from the list, it is positive to see smaller manufacturers take up the Android Q Beta 3 torch. Essential is yet again proving its commitment to offering owners of its Phone (PH-1) all of the latest updates as fast as possible and it’s also interesting to see OEMs such as realme and TECNO included. The latter is a Chinese company that is based in Hong Kong and focuses a lot of its business on the African market.
Android Q will be the 10th major release in the operating system’s history, and it will bring additional support for smartphones that utilize it and will offer numerous new features. There will be support for foldable smartphones, improvements in regard to user control over apps accessing private data, new audio and video codecs, and much more.
