Nokia's "Daredevil" and "Star-Lord" now allegedly set for August launch
Nokia is now linked to 2 new smartphones, the 6.2 and 7.2. They are allegedly code-named 'Daredevil' and 'Star-Lord' respectively. The latest rumors on these putative devices suggest that they will share a launch date in August 2019. This may be apt, as both are said to have a lot more besides in common at present.
According to NokiaPowerUser, the Nokias 6.2 and 7.2 are to feature 6.18-inch IPS LCD screens with 2340×1080 resolutions and aspect ratios of 18.7:9. Both phones will also apparently have variants with 4 or 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, as well as 64 to 128GB in fixed storage of the more up-to-date eMMC 5.1 variety.
These leaks also assert that both new phones will feature the Lumia- (or, perhaps, Huawei Mate 30 Pro-) evincing circular rear camera module seen in earlier images. It will allegedly include a 48MP sensor and a wide-angle lens in both cases. On the other hand, an earlier post on SlashLeaks suggests that the 6.2 may not benefit from this design, and may end up resembling the Nokia X71 instead.
In fact, the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 are thought to differ in terms of their possible SoCs only. The former may ship with the Snapdragon 660, whereas the latter is rumored to have variants with either this chipset or the 710. On that note, the latest image leak that purports to show the 7.2 depicts a phone with an impressively conserved central divot for the selfie camera, whereas those photos linked to the 6.2 show a phone with a more conventional water-drop-notched display that could have come from last year at least.
