The Nokia 6.2 has been launched in India, albeit to comparatively little fanfare. It is a 4GB RAM device with 64GB of internal powered by the Snapdragon 636 SoC. It also has a round camera housing with a triple camera.

The Nokia 6.2, which has featured in leaks heavily themed by its development code-name, "star-lord". To date, it has 1 SKU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, that comes in a Ceramic Black colorway, on the market. Its Snapdragon 636 processor is a slightly unusual choice, but fits in with its low- to mid-range specs.

The Nokia 6.2 has the round rear camera module seen in its more powerful sibling, the 7.2. Unlike this phone, however, it has a 16+5+8MP set-up. It is powered by Android Pie and may be an Android One device, depending on where it is sold. However, this is where the 6.2's potential advantages might run out.

This phone has been released to Amazon India, for a full price of INR 17,699 (~US$250); however, it is currently being discounted to INR 15999 (~$225). Even with this discount, it may not be a decent proposition in its new market. There are many other 4GB phones, including the Motorola One Macro, Realme 5 and Samsung Galaxy M30s, that have started at a lower price.

It could be argued that the 6.2 is a good relative investment, so long as its assured OS upgrades work out. However, this point withers in the face of the Xiaomi Mi A3, which is also part of Android One and has a 4GB variant for less than this new Nokia phone.
