Infinix has launched the INBook X1 notebook in India, featuring a 14-inch FHD+ screen, 55Wh battery, Intel Ice Lake processors and an aluminium body. It will be up for grabs on Flipkart soon, starting at INR 35,999 (US$478).

Budget smartphone maker Infinix has dipped its toes in the lucrative Indian laptop market by launching three new affordable notebooks under the Infinix INBook X1 moniker, which were announced earlier this year. It follows the footsteps of Xiaomi and Realme, both of which have somewhat established their position in the entry-level segment. Given its affordable price, the Infinix INBook X1 packs some fairly dated hardware (Ice Lake), especially at a time when Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-M processors could be upon us.

The Infinix INBook X1 packs a 14-inch FHD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS LCD panel covering 100% of the sRGB spectrum and has a peak brightness of 300 nits. The notebook draws power from a 55Wh battery that can be charged at 65W via the included USB Type-C port. The barrel-pin connector's wattage isn't specified, unfortunately. Infinix claims that one can eke out up to 13 hours of video playback on a single charge.

Moving on to the Infinix INBook X1's innards, we get three SKUs with an Intel Core i3-1005G1, Core i5-1035G1 and Core i7-1065G7 processors. The first two SKUs (Core i3-1005G1 and Core i5-1035G1) are limited to 8GB of system memory, while the Core i7-1065G7 variant bumps up to 16GB. Similarly, the Core i3 model gets only 256GB of internal storage, while the Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs get a 512GB NVMe SSD. Neither variant ships with a dGPU and relies on Ice Lake's trusty Intel UHD iGPU.

Input options on the Infinix INBook X1's include three USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, one HDMI port, one SD card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Lastly, the Infinix INBook X1 weighs 1.46kgs and has an all-aluminium body.

The entry-level Infinix INBook will set you back by INR 35,999 (US$478). The Core i5-1035G1 model will cost INR 45,999 (US$609) and the Core i7-1065G7 version INR 55,999 (US$743). It is available in three colourways, namely Noble Red, Starfall Grey, and Aurora Green and will be purchasable exclusively via Flipkart in the coming days.
