Nvidia wants to help laptop manufacturers building lighter, slimmer, cooler, and especially quieter gaming notebooks and has developed the hardware-based Max-Q technology as well as the drivers-based WhisperMode. We present both new features and compare initial benchmark results with conventional Pascal GPUs.

ColorOS update leaves Oppo R11 without status bar notifications

While the Marshmallow-based ColorOS 3.0.0i firmware for the Oppo R9s and R9s Plus shows notifications in the status bar, the Nougat-based ColorOS 3.1 update for the R11 comes without this popular feature.

New iPhone 8 case render adds support to all-screen design

A render made by a case manufacturer showing an iPhone in their rugged case appears to show the iPhone 8 will have an all-screen design and an on-screen button. The location of the fingerprint scanner isn't shown, but it could be under the screen, on the back, or completely absent in favor of an IR scanner.
