Model: The Huawei Y6 2017 is the sequel to the Huawei Y6, which was released on the market two years ago. Obviously, the new device comes with many improvements over the predecessor. However, since the Huawei Y6 2017 remains an affordable smartphone, its specs aren't impressive at all. On top of that, the Chinese handset maker decided to include Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board, instead of going for a newer version. The Huawei Y6 2017 sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage. A further 128 GB of storage is available via a microSD card. The Huawei Y6 2017 offers more than enough room for many apps and mobile games and all the pictures and videos the user can shoot. The device is fueled by the MediaTek MT6737T 64-bit quad-core processor. Apps run smoothly and generally run smoothly with this hardware specification. The smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720p) resolution. It is an ideal smartphone to purchase if the users use their device to watch YouTube videos, Netflix shows or other video content. A 3,000 mAh battery also keeps the smartphone running for longer especially with such basic specs. Huawei also provides enough options to limit the power consumption of apps and other processes.
On the back side, there's a 13-MP photo snapper, while on the front, Huawei added a secondary 5-MP camera for selfies and video calls. It features cameras that let users take fantastic photos at a resolution of 4,160 x 3,120 pixels and record videos at a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Aside from the rather large battery and the decent camera, another selling point of the Huawei Y6 2017 could be the fact that it features dual-SIM support. The Huawei Y6 2017 does not come with a fingerprint scanner, and all of its physical buttons are placed on the right. The company’s branding can be found on both the front and back side of this phone, and the device ships with a single camera on the back, along with a dual-LED flash. The smartphone measures 143.8 x 72.0 x 8.5 mm and weighs 150.0 grams. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Huawei Y6 2017. And on top of it, a user will be able to find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 4.1 skin. There’s plenty of connectivity options including WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 3G, plus a Proximity sensor, an accelerometer, and an ambient light sensor. The Y6 is available in a choice of Gray, Gold, White. Dual SIM variants are also offered. Dual SIM support allows using two active SIM cards on the phone. The Huawei Y6 is a good option for its price, but there might be better choices out there from brands like Lenovo, Xiaomi and Vivo.

78.45%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
