The PassMark site has recently introduced version 10 of its PerformanceTest benchmark, with the result being that Intel processors now utterly dominate the single-thread performance chart. The Intel Core i9-9900KS tops the list with a result of 3,039, while the highest AMD chip is down in 35th position with the Ryzen 3 4300U on 2,673.

A hexa-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU has managed to achieve a higher score on Geekbench 4’s multi-core test than the quad-core Ice Lake Intel Core i7-1065G7. Although the latter Intel SoC is streets ahead of the Ryzen 4000 processor with its single-core score, its multi-core result of 18,772 points is not quite enough to fend off the Ryzen 5 4500U on 18,819 points.

Geekbench listings of what appears to be a 32-core (16-core dual-socket) Intel Ice Lake Server processor have surfaced. Ice Lake Server appears to put up a strong show against AMD's Epyc Rome 7702P in Geekbench 4 running on Windows Server 2019 with half the number of cores. AMD, however, has the core-count advantage, which still eludes Intel owing to lower yields on the 10nm process.

First AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir desktop APU appears on 3DMark 11 but offers lower scores than the Ryzen 7 4700U and Ryzen 7 4800U mobile APUs

A possible AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir desktop APU has been spotted on the 3DMark 11 benchmark. The processor, which was in a system that utilized a yet to be released Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro motherboard, managed an overall score of 5,659 points. This left it lagging behind laptop APUs such as the Ryzen 7 4700U and the Ryzen 7 4800U.
