Leaked pic shows Robert Downey Jr. holding the OnePlus 8 Pro

We already know from previous leaks that the OnePlus 8 series is only 1 month away from its official launch, and it looks like the Chinese smartphone OEM is once again collaborating with actor Robert Downey Jr. for the marketing campaign. This is suggested by a newly leaked picture of the actor who appears to be holding a OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone while talking to photographer Sam Jones.

The picture does not seem to be a paparazzi shot as it is too clean and has some post processing going on. It was probably shot by one of Sam Jones’s photographers who later on sneaked it to the people who manage the Robertdowney.ig Instagram fan account. While the picture is not that clear when it comes to the smartphone itself, the design is certainly in line with the latest leaked renders that show a newly added camera to the left of the OnePlus 7 tri-cam setup.

Other expected specs for the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro include the high-end Snapdragon 865 SoC, more RAM and possibly UFS 3.0 storage, improved camera sensors, a new punch-hole display with 120 Hz, maybe even wireless charging, and, of course, 5G compatibility. The regular OnePlus 8 model will launch together with the Pro version next month, yet the company also intends to later on release a Lite model that is supposed to be a premium mid-ranger.
