Rumour | OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 case and "About Phone" leaks confirm camera and display design
Information about the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro has been pouring onto the internet in the last few days, but people are claiming to have received yet more leaks about OnePlus' next flagships. Following on from the supposed hands-on images, the same Snapchat account has posted a screenshot of the "About phone" for the OnePlus 8 Pro 5G.
According to the screenshot, the device will have a punch-hole display, along with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. As expected, a Snapdragon 865 is listed as the device's SoC. There are a few red flags, though. Firstly, the OnePlus 8 Pro is said to feature four rear-facing cameras, not three. Secondly, there appears to be uneven spacing between the camera hardware specifications. OnePlus lists these as "xx+xx+xx MP", for example, but the screenshot looks like "64+20+ 12 MP", instead.
Additionally, the information listed under "Screen" does not look quite right. The 5 in 6.65" is out of place, for example, as is listing the refresh rate. Likewise, the background on the thumbnail of the phone appears to be just that of the OnePlus 7 Pro with a tweaked hue.
Separately, @Sudhanshu1414 has tweeted pictures of TPU cases for the OnePlus 8 series. These could well be based on leaked CAD renders from the likes of OnLeaks, and do not necessarily confirm anything.
