OnePlus has issued a new software update to 3 of its latest phones at once. They are the 7, 7 Pro, and 7T Pro, which now have stable OxygenOS (OOS) versions with January 2020 security patches. They are also associated with the same changelog, which includes a fix for an issue in which some apps were showing a black or blank screen; optimized RAM management and a new feature by which reminders about privacy settings appear on the devices.
They apply to units of these phones sold outside China. However, there are also some India-specific updates, which pertain to those phones sold in this market. They include a "cricket scores" feature, some refinements to this region's exclusive Work-Life Balance setting, and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to register SIMs on the Jio network for voice over Wi-Fi.
These new versions are called OOS 10.0.4 for EU or global units, and 10.3.1 for Indian models for the 7 or 7 Pro. The 7T Pro equivalent is called OOS 10.0.7 for EU and global units, or 10.3.1 for India-market devices. Some fans of this OEM may be wondering: what about the 7T? This phone is yet to be updated, and remains on an OOS version with November 2019 security patches.
