The TV and mobile-device OEM OnePlus has hinted at a "special project" with an intriguing trailer via its UK division's Twitter account. However, like the Concept One, it is not a product that will go on sale soon, although the company still wants public feedback for it. It is to be revealed on March 3, 2020 (or tomorrow, in other words).
OnePlus UK's Twitter feed has issued teasers for a new device that is apparently something strange the OEM is working on. It has been hyped with a video that appears to show that it has smartphone-like camera modules - but also other mechanical components that give the impression of being virtually automotive in some shots.
Based on these clues, and on the regional division associated with it, it is possible that the "special project" is being developed in conjunction with OnePlus' brand-partner McLaren. Then again, the OEM's CEO, Pete Lau, may have disrupted this theory somewhat by offering 2 further hints, also dropped via Twitter: the terms "snow" and "5G".
This does suggest some kind of new solution for staying connected while in challenging environments. Whatever it is, OnePlus UK has noted that it is not intended to be "a commercial product", but would "love your thoughts on it". This new, possibly concept device is to be revealed in full on March 3, 2020.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
