OnePlus has been in the news a lot lately, whether that be about supposedly fake OnePlus 8 series rumours or a "5G Snowbot". The company is apparently due to unveil the former at an event in April, with the OnePlus 8 Lite, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro all set to appear. Now, Ishan Agarwal has weighed in on OnePlus 8 series rumours.
According to Agarwal, the OnePlus 8 series will start at £400 (~US$510). This will only apply to the OnePlus 8 Lite though, and Agarwal gave the caveat of "around" £400 (~US$510), too. Incidentally, the OnePlus 8 Lite is the only Mediatek-powered handset in the OnePlus 8 series. Apparently, the series may not arrive in most markets until July, despite launching in mid-April.
Separately, Agarwal also states that the OnePlus 8 Pro will support dual-band 5G. He did not mention the same connectivity being afforded to the other devices in the series, though. Moreover, the OnePlus 8 Pro will support 30 W wireless charging, a first for a OnePlus smartphone. The device will apparently support 30 W reverse wireless charging too. While wireless charging another smartphone at up to 30 W would likely hammer battery life, it would give OnePlus a one-up over some of its competitors.
