On the back of a sighting of the Ryzen 5 4600HS comes an appearance of the Ryzen 9 4900HS. Again, the Renoir processor has appeared in an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, paired with a QHD display, a 1 TB SSD, 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU.

It seems that a Ryzen 9 mobile processors could be in development, after all. Initially reported by Videocardz, Romanian retailer Altex briefly listed a Ryzen 9 4900HS version of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 on its website. Specifically, the GA401IV-HA037, the listing is the first evidence that we have seen of a Ryzen 9 4900HS.

According to the listing, the APU is an 8 core part that supports Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT). While this puts the processor on par with the Ryzen 7 4800HS, Altex reports the Ryzen 9 4900HS as having a 100 MHz higher base clock than the Ryzen 7, along with a 200 MHz higher maximum boost clock. The Ryzen 9 4900HS still has 8 MB of L3 cache, though.

Videocardz speculates that the Ryzen 9 4900HS will have a 35 W TDP, which seems logical considering that other Ryzen 4000 HS series processors do. Additionally, the website asserts that the APU will integrate an 8 CU Radeon RX Vega GPU. It seems that Videocardz has based this on the Ryzen 5 4600HS having a 6 CU integrated GPU and the Ryzen 7 4800HS having a 7 CU one.

Elsewhere, the Altex listing reports the Zephyrus G14 as having a QHD display, a 1 TB SSD, 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q GPU. The appearance of a Ryzen 9 HS SKU implies that AMD will release a corresponding H-series processor. The rumour could still come to nothing though, especially as neither ASUS nor AMD has confirmed that the Ryzen 9 4900HS exists.
