GPD Win Max video clip convinces fans with The Witcher 3 gameplay
There are plenty of fans of GPD’s products out there, and the Win Max handheld has already been stirring up plenty of anticipation among eager potential buyers. Now the company, which is based in Hong Kong, has shared a video of the GPD Win Max being used to play The Witcher 3.
Although the clip is quite short (see below), it is clear to see the GPD Win Max’s recently revealed components can handle the game adequately, with Geralt of Rivia sprinting around the environment without any obvious stutters or tearing showing up on the display. This kind of demonstration shows why the Win Max would appeal to those who want to play games like The Witcher 3 on something that is truly as portable as this 8-inch handheld.
However, as has been pointed out in one of our opinion articles, some commentators have shown concern with the design of the GPD Win Max. The handheld computer has a keyboard that is topped off by game controllers that sit beneath the display. The gamer in the clip doesn’t seem to have any problems with using the controls for playing; however, you have to wonder just how long someone could utilize the Win Max for gaming before suffering from weary wrists etc. But it could be a small sacrifice to make to combine the best of both worlds in regard to using the Win Max as a handheld console and as an ultra-portable computer.
