GPD has been slowly drip-feeding general information and technical details about the upcoming Win Max handheld console lately. Images of the device’s motherboard have just been posted online and somewhat scant updates in regard to the price and campaign release for the handheld computer have also been offered.

It seems the first details about the GPD Win Max handheld console were revealed a very long time ago, as the Chinese OEM has taken its time getting the device into the hands of anxious gamers. There is still a bit of a wait to go, but along with some photographs of Win Max motherboards that indicate the portable computer is finally being put together, there were some more general details offered too.

Although the price for the GPD Win Max still hasn’t been officially revealed, apparently it will finally be shared later this month. Estimates of US$750 to US$950 have found their way online; the exact figure should be known soon enough. The Win Max handheld console comes with an Intel Core i5-1035G7 processor, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB M.2 2280 SSD, which can be seen under the cooling fans in one of the images below.

As for the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the Win Max, GPD has announced that it will begin in May. GPD has run numerous successful campaigns on the crowdfunding site for its devices, for instance over US$2.8 million was raised for the GPD Win 2, while the GPD P2 Max pulled in an impressive US$8.6 million in funding. The first reviews of the GPD Win Max handheld console should start appearing online soon.
