It may be wise for Xiaomi not to rush the release of Android 10 considering the issues it has had with moving its Android One handsets onto Google's latest OS. Nonetheless, it has been months since Xiaomi upgraded the Redmi Note 7 Pro to MIUI 11, and some people are now asking where the device's first OS upgrade is.
While Android 10 has already arrived for devices enrolled in the beta program, that is likely where it will remain for another month. Reported by MIUI 11 Updates and Piunikaweb, Xiaomi has now started issuing V11.0.8.0 to Chinese and Indian handsets, albeit based on Android 9.0 Pie again. V11.0.8.0.PFHINXM and V11.0.8.0.PFHCNXM will arrive as OTA updates if they have not already and contain the following changes:
System
- Updated Android Security Patch to February 2020.
- Increased system security.
Alternatively, you can manually install V11.0.8.0.PFHINXM or V11.0.8.0.PFHCNXM by downloading the builds from Xiaomi's servers. We have hyperlinked the downloads for each build, for reference. Please note that you can only install the update for the branch of MIUI on which your device is already enrolled unless you have unlocked its bootloader.
