Xiaomi has sent out the Android 10 update to quite a number of its phones, but the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro remain on Pie. There appears to be light at the end of the tunnel, though, if new information is anything to go by.

Xiaomi has sent out the Android 10 update to a multitude of phones, but for some reason, one of the company's most successful phones ever, the Redmi Note 7, remains on Android Pie. That could be set to change soon, though, going by new information.

According to a report by PiunikaWeb, when quizzed on the MIUI Forums, a moderator confirmed that the Android 10-based update for the Redmi Note 7 would arrive shortly, "in April last or May first half". While community moderators can hardly be considered an official source of information, they're typically reliable in matters like this, so there's likely some truth to the mod's statement.

While the mod claims the update could arrive in late April, we don't expect the Redmi Note 7 to receive the Android 10 update until May. Xiaomi has already sent out a beta to the Redmi Note 7 Pro in China, so the company is obviously working on Android 10 for the phones.
