Xiaomi extends Android 10 rollout for the Redmi Note 8 Pro
Rolled out to EU handsets at the end of last month, Xiaomi has now extended the release of Android 10 on the Redmi Note 8 Pro to other regions. Starting today, the Redmi Note 8 Pro should start receiving Android 10 in India and Indonesia, along with handsets enrolled on the Global branch of MIUI.
The updates carry the following build numbers. If you have not received a notification to upgrade your Redmi Note 8 Pro to Android 10, then you can download the full build from the links below, which are to files hosted on Xiaomi's servers:
- V11.0.1.0.QGGMIXM - Global
- V11.0.1.0.QGGIDXM - Indonesia
- V11.0.2.0.QGGINXM - India
Please note that you can only install the build for the branch of MIUI on which your Redmi Note 8 Pro is enrolled, unless you have unlocked its bootloader. If you would like to install one of these manually, place it the zip file on your device's internal storage, head to About Phone and System Update, click the three dots followed by "Choose update package". If you cannot see this option, then clicking on the MIUI logo should enable it.
All three builds will be available as OTAs if they are not already, though. OTAs will be smaller downloads than full builds too, so it may be easier to wait for Xiaomi to push the update to your handset than downloading a several gigabyte file.
