Xiaomi first sent out the stable Android 10 update to the Redmi Note 8 Pro back in February. Fast-forward three months and a host of Redmi Note 8 Pro owners appear to still be on Android Pie. The most recent update to the phone with the software number "MIUI 11 V11.0.4.0.QGGMIXM" brings Android 10, however, and may have fixed the previously-reported Netflix compatibility issues.

The stable Android 10 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro was released back in February, and a month later, Xiaomi expanded the rollout from just European models to all global units. Rather interestingly, that rollout seems to be taking its sweet time, and still hasn't gotten to all Redmi Note 8 Pro owners.

Our comments section over the past few weeks seem to have been plagued by owners of the phone clarifying that they still haven't received the update, in response to a piece claiming the update was sent out months ago.

The most recent update to the Redmi Note 8 Pro was sent out on May 25 with the software version designation "MIUI 11 V11.0.4.0.QGGMIXM" and is the global stable Android 10 build, which doubles up as the May security patch and weighs 2.0 GB.

We reported a few months ago that the previous Android 10 build for the Redmi Note 8 Pro removed Netflix HDR support, but that may have just been fixed with the aforementioned new build, if the changelog is anything to go by.
