Xiaomi puts the Mi Note 10 Lite into development, but why?
The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro are oddities in Xiaomi's smartphone portfolio. Neither flagship nor mid-range devices, they offer much of what the Mi 10 series does, but at a fraction of the price. Now, it has emerged that Xiaomi is developing the M2002F4LG, with all signs pointing to it being the Mi Note 10 Lite.
Originally brought to our attention by @Sudhanshu1414, XDA Developers has since found the FCC listing in which the M2002F4LG is mentioned. As a screenshot of the document below demonstrates, the M2002F4LG and M1910F4G are inextricably linked. The M1910F4G is the Mi Note 10, for reference.
The M2002F4LG is not a minor revision of the Mi Note 10 as the Mi Note 10 Pro is, either. According to the document, the M2002F4LG features different camera hardware and no laser autofocus. From the information provided, we have deduced that the Mi Note 10 Lite will feature the following cameras:

It is worth pointing out that the 5 MP telephoto is equivalent to the 12 MP telephoto sensor that Xiaomi includes in the Mi Note 10. Additionally, the 8 MP telephoto sensor is likely a 5 MP sensor, seeing as the Mi Note 10 upscales photos shot with its 5 MP telephoto sensor to 8 MP.
Confusingly, @Sudhanshu1414 reports that their source has informed them that the Mi Note 10 Lite will have four rear-facing cameras, not five. We shall go on the contents of the letter published by the FCC for the time being, though. Separately, @Sudhanshu1414 states that the device will have a 16 MP front-facing camera, too.
Moreover, we have gleaned that the Mi Note 10 Lite has a 6.47-inch display, along with a 5,260 mAh battery that it can charge at up to 30 W. The device ships with Android 10, too.
Personally, we fail to see where a Mi Note 10 Lite would fit into Xiaomi's portfolio. The combination of what is probably an IMX686 with a Snapdragon 730G would put the device firmly in mid-range territory, possibly cannibalising Redmi sales.
